After School Satan Club - Thames Path

from Music For A Walk In London: Vol I by Music For A Walk

about

"This track was written for the Thames Path, particularly the route it takes in Southeast London from Rotherhithe, running around and through Deptford and Greenwich. The walk is great if you want some space – the river is so wide that it feels very open when you walk along it. I think it’s a great walk to take in just how big an impact the river has had on London. The path runs through an area that was dominated by docklands until the mid-20th century – for most of its history, life in this part of London revolved around the river. Whilst many of the docks and quays have since been bombed, rebuilt or repurposed, you can still see parts of this history in the names of the wharves that are still standing, and in the old shipping junk that lines the riverbanks. There are also some great spots for mud-larking."

After School Satan Club is one of the guitarists in deathcrash. This particular track was inspired by Pullman’s album ‘Turnstyles and Junkpiles’. If you like this track, I would recommend that album, and Jim O’Rourke’s album ‘Bad Timing’.
